plumbing / insulation
Since I'm a PEX expert now I figured I would fix the splice that the plumber left. Oh yea I installed some insulation as well.
I started by finishing the insulation on the cieling. I did not use recommended cieling insulation (R-19) as the large ammount of wires and venting ducts that I have to deal with in this room. I used my standard R-13 that I used on the walls. I will pad the area outside the kneewall with thicker unfaced batts later as I get time.
As I mentioned before I also spent some time re-doing a connection the plumber spliced. He punctured the PEX during their test so he had to fix it with a 1/2in to 1/2in coupler. I eliminated the coupler so there is a solid piece of PEX from the manifold to the copper ell. Man did I mention that I love this PEX stuff. :-)
So the insulation i s done and the plumbing in the walls is finished... must be time to drywall.
